WHAT IS PET PREFORM?

There are two blow moulding techniques applicable in (Polyethylene terephthalate) PET bottle manufacturing; extrusion blow moulding and the injection stretch blow moulding processes. The former extrudes molten plastic into a hollow tube called the parison which is further blow moulded with air, inflating it into the shape of the hollow bottle, container or part. Stretch Blow moulding employs two different methods; single stage and two stage. The first stage in each of these processes is the production of the Preform.

KNOW YOUR PET PREFORMS

PET preforms have the unusual ability to exist in amorphous or high crystalline state. The amorphous form of PET is the one that is used in packaging material and is in fact engineered to prevent crystallization. Such PET is unreinforced and cannot handle rigorous environments. Amorphous PET is produced if it is cooled rapidly, semi-crystalline PET is made with slow cooling.

The amorphous form of PET is the one that is used in packaging material and is in fact engineered to prevent crystallization. Such PET is unreinforced and cannot handle rigorous environments. Amorphous PET is produced if it is cooled rapidly.

The crystalline state renders certain properties to PET while its amorphous state allows very different properties of PET to be availed. Crystallization on cooling provides for better mechanical properties like strength, stiffness and impact resistance at elevated temperatures. Semi-crystalline PET is made with slow cooling.

PET pellets are heated in a plastic injection machine and the molten plastic is injected at high pressure into a mould, casting parts called the preforms. Whether continuous or single stage or two stage stretch moulding, the preforms is inevitably the first step in the process.

In single stage stretch blow moulding, preforms are stored away for further processing. In two stage stretch blow moulding, the Perform is reheated to make it malleable enough to be stretched by the mandrel and blow moulded with air.

For retaining its amorphous state, PET products are instantly cooled with water circulating in the moulds.

While preforms define the end result of the desired packaging product, i.e. bottles of jars, it is important in other ways too. In a two-step process, the Perform forms the intermediate stage of the product and can be shipped for further processing to a facility closer to consumption. This results in a huge economy of transport and handling.

Single step process is normally used for specialised shapes of bottles and jars and low production volumes. The two step process instead is economical for high volume standardised production.

YAASH PREFORMS

It is only prudent to source your packaging products from a reputed supplier that is also in close proximity to your plant. While it may not always be possible, the next best thing is to source your PET preforms from a manufacturer of excellent standing for quality supplies.

This allows you to take care of the quality of your end product, with the benefit of the economics of transport.

Why do we say this? Transporting PET preforms due to their smaller size is much more economical compared to the logistics of finished bottles and jars.

Yaash Enterprises, very well known for its PET products is a company you can rely on for the supplies of Preforms. With our prime production being PET Bottles and Jars, we have understood and recognized the importance of quality preforms, in order to make high quality end products. As a result, we have become the preferred and a much sought after manufacturer of premium quality preforms for third party blow moulding companies.

We manufacture and supply bottle preforms for a significant range of products. Those for carbonated soda drinks of 200 ml to 600 ml, mineral water bottle preforms of 500 ml to 1000 ml in colour or clear, to name a few.

With our first clients since inception, 22 years back, still with us, it tells our story of quality, trust and loyalty like none other.
